Echuca-Moama Trip (22nd-24th Jan 2007)
Amy and Julie-Anne took this trip.   It was a fantastic budget holiday that went way over budget!   We had a lovely time shopping and getting pampered at the Madison Spa Resort in Moama.   It was such a challenge drinking cocktails by the lagoon pool, having facials, massages, manicures, working on the tan, having spas and getting sweaty in the steam room.   I fully recommend this place to everyone.   Well worth it!

We went on a scenic flight over the Murray to the Barmah Wetlands and forest.   Neither of us were sick but we did feel a bit queezy at 3000 feet above sea.   Sure was a sight to remember and the extent of the drought was evident everywhere.   The number of wineries was growing though and there were quite a number of houseboats cruising along the Murray.   The level of the water was down further than what it was last time I was up there, quite sad when I think about what it was like when I was a kid up there.   The step corroded banks show the scares of the drought up there.   Still a beautiful place to be and I am quite drawn to the area for many reasons.   Feels like home to me.
